TERMS OF SERVICE
Welcome to Undertale: Multiverse Team ("UMT", "we", "us", "our"), a Discord game studio operated by Mazin and Dusty. By using our Discord bots — UMT Bot and Sans' Hotdog Calamity ("the Bots") — our Discord server, or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

1. WHO WE ARE
UMT is a non-commercial, fan-made studio owned by Mazin. We develop and operate two Discord bots:
- UMT Bot — a turn-based character battler (Discord Application ID: 1486816754976952523)
- Sans' Hotdog Calamity — a real-time hot dog shop manager (Discord Application ID: 1508166950918815936)
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Toby Fox, the official Undertale franchise, or any creators of the Undertale AUs referenced in our games.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country) to use the Bots. By using our services, you confirm you meet this requirement and that you will comply with the Discord Terms of Service.
3. ACCEPTABLE USE
When using our Bots, you agree NOT to:
- Use macros, auto-clickers, or any automation to gain an advantage. Both Bots include macro-detection; offending accounts may be reset or banned.
- Exploit bugs or glitches to gain currency, items, characters, or coins instead of reporting them.
- Use alternate accounts to bypass cooldowns, daily resets, or restrictions.
- Sell, trade, or transfer accounts, items, or currencies for real money.
- Harass, threaten, scam, or abuse other players.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt unauthorized access to the Bots' code or data.
- Impersonate UMT staff, mods, or other users.
- Use the Bots in violation of Discord's Terms or applicable law.
4. IN-GAME CONTENT & VIRTUAL ITEMS
All in-game items and currencies are virtual, have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
UMT Bot includes characters, currencies (DT Vials, Determination, Soul Essence), gacha pulls, fusions, items, achievements, and PvP records.
Sans' Hotdog Calamity includes coins, shift progress, shift statistics, daily challenge completions, and skip tokens.
We may, at our discretion: modify or rebalance characters, abilities, items, payouts, or challenges; reset accounts that violate these Terms; and wipe or migrate data when major updates require it (we'll try to give notice).
5. REFUNDS
We may restore in-game items or currency lost due to a verified bug on our end. We do not refund losses from normal gameplay, mistakes, or item misuse. See our full Refund Policy for eligibility criteria and how to request one.
6. UPDATES & CHANGES TO THE GAMES
We regularly update our Bots. This may include adding content, rebalancing characters or challenge rewards, changing drop/currency rates, or reworking features that don't work as intended. We'll try to announce major changes in our Discord, but reserve the right to update any aspect of the games at any time.
7. ACCOUNT & DATA
Your in-game account is tied to your Discord User ID. We can reset, suspend, or delete account data for users who violate these Terms, or upon request. Banned accounts forfeit all items, currencies, and progress without refund. See our Privacy Policy for what data we store.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All original code, branding, design, and original art produced by UMT belong to Mazin and the UMT studio. The Undertale brand, characters, and concepts belong to Toby Fox; AU concepts referenced in our games belong to their respective creators. Our Bots are non-commercial fan projects provided free of charge.
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Bots are provided "as is" and "as available". We're a two-person team running this for free, so we don't guarantee uptime or that the Bots will be bug-free. We may take the Bots offline for maintenance, updates, or because Mazin's PC crashed. We may permanently shut down a Bot at any time (we'll try to give notice in Discord).
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UMT and its operators (Mazin and Dusty) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Bots or this website. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us — which, since the Bots are free, is $0.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
