REFUND POLICY
All items, currencies, and progress in UMT Bot and Sans' Hotdog Calamity are virtual and have no real-world monetary value. The Bots are free, so "refunds" here mean restoring in-game items or currency that were lost due to a verified bug on our end — not real money back.
Refunds are handled manually by Mazin and are not guaranteed. We review each request against the criteria below and reserve the right to deny any request that doesn't meet them.
WHEN YOU'RE ELIGIBLE
✔ ELIGIBLE
- A bug caused you to lose an item or currency without receiving what you were supposed to get
- A locked character was consumed in an evolution due to a bot error (UMT Bot)
- You purchased a Shiny Star and the bot applied it to the wrong character due to a bug (UMT Bot)
- An update removed an obtainment method for an item you were actively working toward
- A Hotdog Calamity shift crashed and you lost completed challenge progress mid-shift
- The bot awarded the wrong daily challenge reward due to an error (Hotdog Calamity)
✘ NOT ELIGIBLE
- You willingly used an item and changed your mind
- You exiled a character by mistake (UMT Bot)
- You lost items in a normal battle or through normal gameplay
- An item you have has no use yet — hold onto it for future updates
- You lost Determination or Soul Essence through normal shop purchases or crafting
- You lost coins through normal play — failed QTEs, missed customers, expired orders (Hotdog Calamity)
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
Email us at contactmazin@umtbot.com with the following:
- Your Discord username and User ID
- Which bot it applies to (UMT Bot or Sans' Hotdog Calamity)
- What item, currency, or progress was lost
- What happened, with a screenshot or video if possible
- The approximate date and time it occurred
The more detail you give us, the faster we can verify and resolve it. We typically respond within a few days.
OUR PROMISE
We're not trying to nickel-and-dime anyone — there's nothing to nickel-and-dime, the Bots are free. If something genuinely broke and cost you progress, we want to make it right. This policy exists so refunds stay fair and so "I changed my mind" doesn't turn into a full-time job for a two-person team.
This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service. For what data we store, see our Privacy Policy.
