Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Undertale: Multiverse Team ("UMT", "we", "us") collects when you use our Discord bots — UMT Bot and Dolls N' Doodles ("the Bots") — or visit this website, and how we use it.
UMT is operated by Mazin. We're a small indie studio, not a corporation. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across the web.
1. What we collect
From the Bots
When you use UMT Bot or Dolls N' Doodles, we store the following on our servers:
- Discord User ID — used to identify your account and tie progress to you. We do not store your username, email, or any Discord profile data.
- Game progress — characters owned, levels, EXP, items, currencies (DT Vials, Determination, Soul Essence, Souls), team setups, achievements, leaderboard stats, and PvP records.
- Card collections & decks (DnD only) — your card collection, saved decks, match stats.
- Server / channel IDs — only when you run commands, so the Bots can respond in the right place.
- Anti-abuse data — input timing for macro detection. This is used to flag automated input and is not stored long-term.
- Moderation logs — for actions taken by our mod role (account resets, item adjustments, etc.) so we have a paper trail.
From this website
This website is a static site. We don't run analytics, set tracking cookies, or use third-party trackers. Your hosting provider (e.g. Netlify) may keep basic anonymized access logs that we don't access or use.
2. Why we collect it
The data above is used only to:
- Save your game progress so it persists between sessions.
- Run leaderboards, achievements, PvP, and the gacha/shop economy.
- Detect and prevent macro abuse and exploits.
- Help us debug issues you report.
- Operate moderator tools.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not read your Discord DMs or messages outside of bot commands.
- We do not store your Discord username, avatar, email, or any Discord profile information beyond your User ID.
4. Data storage
Player data is stored in JSON databases on the server hosting our Bots. Access is limited to Mazin and Dusty (as co-developers). Data is not encrypted at rest, so please don't send sensitive information through bot commands — it's not designed for that.
5. Children's privacy
Our Bots are intended for users 13 and older, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used our Bots, please contact us so we can remove their data.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- See your data — request a copy of what we have on you.
- Reset or delete your account — wipe your game progress entirely.
- Stop using the Bots — just remove them from your servers and stop running commands. Inactive accounts persist until manually deleted.

7. Third-party services
Our Bots run on Discord's infrastructure and are subject to Discord's Privacy Policy. We use Discord's official API; what Discord collects from you is between you and Discord, not us.
8. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date will change. Major changes will be announced in our Discord server.
